TTP EMEA will take place in the Thon-Dittmer-Palais, Haidplatz 8, Regensburg, Germany between the 27th April and 1st May 2008. The event will start with a Keynote and Welcome Reception on Sunday 27th April at 4pm and sessions will then run each day will run between 9am and 5pm except for Thursday when they will finish at 4pm. Regensburg University took out the first academic MLA in Europe and are this year celebrating the 20th anniversary of that contract so it is appropriate that we should help them celebrate by holding the TTP meeting there this year.

We are really pleased that Jason Williams, OES Product Manager will be attending the full conference this year. Also in attendance from Provo will be Paul Taysom and from the University of Michigan, Luke Tracy. Subject to the usual last minute changes the draft agenda for the event can be found in the Draft Agenda. There will of course be plenty of time to discuss issues and to network with other delegates as there is with all TTP events.

There will be no fee for attending the event but delegates will be expected to pay for their own travel and accommodation.

Travel

Regensburg is located midway between Nuremberg and Munich. Several of the cheaper airlines fly to these cities from locations across Europe. Travel from the airport to Regensburg is cheapest using the Shuttle Bus. Please make sure you book a place on the shuttle before you arrive at the airport via the web link.

Hotels

Hotels can be booked via the Regensburg Tourist Office who have setup a special web page for this purpose. It is also a good idea to check Expedia for special deals. If you are planning to come by car please check the hotel parking facilities as many of the hotels in the centre of the town (where the Thon Dittmer Palais is located) do not have their own parking facilities. Due to the number of hotels within walking distance of the venue no transport will be provided between the hotels and the Thon Dittmer Palais.
